How we work – step by step
How we work – step by step
1. Quick conversation
You tell us what’s going on – leak, damp patch, slipped tiles, ageing flat roof, storm damage or “something just doesn’t look right”. We’ll ask a few simple questions and, where possible, look at photos or video you send.
2. Free roof assessment
If a visit is needed, we book a convenient time. On site we:
-
Safely access the roof or loft space
-
Take clear photos and videos of what we find
-
Check the surrounding areas (gutters, flashings, chimneys, flat roofs)
-
Look for the root cause, not just the obvious symptom
3. Clear options and pricing
You’ll get a straightforward explanation of:
-
What’s wrong (in plain English, with photos)
-
The options: repair vs replace, “fix now” vs “monitor”
-
Typical lifespan of each option
-
A clear, itemised quote – labour, materials, access/scaffolding if needed
No pressure, no “sign today” tactics. You decide in your own time.
4. Work carried out with minimal disruption
If you go ahead, we:
-
Agree dates and likely duration
-
Protect floors, gardens, driveways and neighbours’ property
-
Keep you updated each day on progress
-
Tidy up properly at the end – including removing waste
You’ll then receive any relevant certificates, warranties and aftercare advice in writing.

What to expect from a roof survey
Many homeowners tell us they’re worried about two things:
- Being talked into a full new roof when a repair would do
- Having someone on the roof without really knowing what they’re doing
Here’s how we handle it:
-
No-obligation visit – the assessment is to help you make a decision, not to push you into one
-
Photo and video evidence – so you can see exactly what we’re seeing on your roof
-
Repair-first mindset – if a safe, sensible repair will extend the life of your roof, we’ll say so
-
Straight answers – if a replacement really is the best option, we’ll explain why and show you the risks of doing nothing
You’ll leave the survey knowing exactly:
-
What’s urgent and what can wait
-
What each option is likely to cost
-
How long the work should take
-
What disruption to expect (noise, parking, access, etc.)
Is Uprise Roofing the right fit for you?
We’re a good fit if:
-
You’d like honest advice, even if it means less work for us
-
You want to understand all your options, not just the most expensive
-
You value long-term fixes over quick patches that don’t last
-
You’d like everything in writing – photos, quotes, warranties and aftercare
We may not be the best fit if:
-
You’re only looking for the cheapest possible short-term patch
-
You’re happy to skip proper access or safety to save a few pounds
-
You don’t want to receive written quotes or documentation
If you’re not sure, start with a conversation or a free assessment – you’ll know quickly whether we’re the right roofing partner for you.
